Sorry It has taken me a minute to get back...Hi Bob,
Sorry It has taken me a minute to get back to you. Thanks for posting... I love feedback and comments, encouragement, whatever :)
About the LDN, I havenot given up on it. I just need to be monitored by a doctor, as I was monitoring myself. I ordered the naltrexone myself and because I have many sensitivities, I need a doctor to oversee the dosing of the medication along with my other meds.
I kept myself on 1mg for 1 month and moved up to 2mg and my body didn't like the increase. My weight is quite low.. Mid 80's at the moment, so maybe that was too much of a jump, going from 1 to 2mg. I have read that some people start out at .25mg. I'm probably a likely candidate that should start at a dose that low.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14915634441723395075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6511783416021231187.post-20614156706525767662011-08-02T16:36:19.249-04:002011-08-02T16:36:19.249-04:00Hi, always great to see people spreading the word ...Hi, always great to see people spreading the word about Low Dose Naltrexone.
I'm sorry to see it didn't work out as well for you as it has for me. Can I ask if you tried various doses? I personally find that 2.5mg a day is fine for me and many others find that 4.5mg or even 3.5mg is too much of a dose and does not alleviate symptoms.
Just a thought in case you tried 4.5mg and gave up as so many others have without realising a lower dose might very well be fine.
Also note that Dr Zagon is now saying that only opiates cannot be taken alongside LDN, so it can be used along with other, more commonly prescribed treatments.

Best wishes,
Bob Thomson,
LDN Now, Scotland

http://ldnforcrohns.blogspot.com
http://ldnnow.com
http://bit.ly/SPLDNm1v1Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06078471392658660581noreply@blogger.com
